We officially opened on 26.03.2002. With many years of experience in the beauty industry, we are the price and selection leader. Our Bern branch became the company’s distribution centre nationally. Over the years of our existence, this location has grown in friendship and comradely with the neighbouring communities, harbouring a hometown family feeling among employees and customers. “We strive to keep a good relationship with customers and to have a strong team among ourselves,” explained Nana Zimmermann, the General Manageress. Implementing efficient programs to streamline customer satisfaction and trust, order efficiency and overall teamwork we added a new store to our name in June 2014 in Basel which took off to a great start!
The procedure for servicing stores wholesaling is also made efficient here. With a minimum delivery order set at 500chf, smaller stores do not need to worry with the pressure of making a substantial purchase each time. Delivery employees are trained to transport products inside stores – not simply leave goods at the door but to interact with the clients to know their specific cliental needs. Simple acts of kindness like this are what set this us apart from the competition.
Accenting the kindness factor is the sampling processes this warehouse implements. “Samples are given out to all customers as soon as there become available. The warehouse creates mix and match boxes of varying items so customers can try different brands,” Nana explains.
Tropical Zone Engros salesmen are constantly working to grow in product knowledge, and to pass that along to their fellow colleagues. One way this is achieved is through the labelling system on the warehouse shelves. Special tags are posted with each item that displays product information, ensuring less mistakes and easy product education.
